WELLNESS CHECKS AND PREVENTATIVE BLOODWORK ORDERS AND REVIEWS

Patients often will go without any medical check, vision or dental check ups for years. Patients often will neglect their health for many years, until they are faced with a serious, difficulty or potentially life threatening health condition or disease. At KOOLMD.COM we believe that having access to a physician who practices prevention puts you at a much lower risk, in terms of screening for potential risk factors, such as elevated cholesterol or blood glucose. Early age appropriate screening for both men and women has been shown to reduce the risk of many preventable diseases. At KOOLMD.COM we also stress the use of proper diet and a regular exercise regiment to promote physical as well as mental health.

To further this process we may order various studies including bloodwork that may be appropriate via one of our affiliate nationwide certified reference labs. You will have access to any and all labs work or studies ordered. You will also get a chance to do a Tele-consult to discuss the results of any bloodwork. Based on the results our physicians may recommend additional testing or referral to specialist.

Some Labs That May be Recommended:

Complete Blood Count (CBC), General Chemistry Profile, Lipid Profile, Cholesterol levels, Testosterone levels, Estrogen levels, Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) and many other labs necessary as part of your health check or routine health maintenance of preventive screening test.

Some Studies That May Be Recommended:

Based on your age and risk factors additional studies may be recommended such as Colonoscopies, mammograms and other diagnostic tests as part of a screening work up. Your risk factors, history and age determine the appropriateness of each diagnostic screening tool used. Our physicians follow commonly recommended tests with frequencies recommended by both private and governmental health agencies, e.g. U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
